In short, Wayanad Agro Industry Famer Producer Company is a group of farmers in the district of Wayanad to work sincerely to bring the financial progress and wellbeing not only of its members, but also to other farmers in the district and thereby to become the pride of SFAC and Kerala State through producing and promoting organic and non-pesticide edible crops and its value additions. Area of working of the project is limited at present in the district of Wayanad. The beneficiaries of the project are the farming community including women and aborigines in this district having own farmstead or leased land. The indirect beneficiaries are the consumers aspiring for quality food stuff
WAYANAD FRESH FOOD PRODUCTS
Wayanad Fresh Food Products is a processing unit being operated under the guidance of Wayanad Agro Industry Farmer Producer Company. Wayanad economy is largely depended on agriculture. Wide verities of crops are cultivated here. Falling prices of products at harvesting time is a recurring phenomenon here, leading to distress sale of products by the farmers. This results in heavy losses to farmers, especially with regard to perishable agricultural food crops. Wayanad Fresh Food Products is a processing unit dealing with food products largely grown in this district. Spices, Fruits and Tubers.The farm products are collected directly from farmers paying fair prices. They are converted to value added products in the processing unit making use of appropriate modern technologies, with zero compromise on quality.

Wayanad Agro Processing , Pathirichal, Edavaka.P.O.The main activities of the unit is to dehydrate vegetables, fruits and tubers to make them dried and durable for off season use. The products are used for healthy habits of edible purpose by all classes of customers. There is good scope for this activity at the proposed area. The unit will provide job work service to aspiring farmers at reasonable service tariff. The production unit is proposed to be located at EP-17/447, Pathirichal in Edavaka Grama Panchayath in Wayanad District. The main crops used for dehydration process are Tubers ( Tapioca, Yam, Sweet potato etc.), Fruits (Mango, Jack fruits, Guava, pineapple, avocado etc.), Vegetables (Tender jack fruits, chilly, Tomato, Bitter guard, Pappaya etc.) and Vegetable & Fruits leaves

AK FRUIRTS PROCESSING INDUSTRY is a fruits processing unit of Wayanad Agro Industry Farmer Producer Company. The unit is functioning in Puthiyidamkunnu, Kunnamangalalam P.O,Mananthavady .Wayanad district is a place where a plenty of agricultural fruits like Mango, Papaya, Passion fruit, Chikku, Avocado etc. are available. A good quantity of such fruits are being become useless due its perishable nature every year. If they are made use to make value additions like juice, squash, jam, pickle etc. , it will bring good income not only to the entrepreneur but also to many farmers in the district as there is a good demand for natural fruits products especially for natural fruit juice. It is in this background that this project was started. The main activities of the unit are production of fruit drinks like Passion fruit juice, Butter fruit juice, Chikku Juice etc in 200 ml, 500 ml bottles and market widely at attractively reasonable rate and in competent quality and dealings. Maximum capacity of the plant is to produce average 500 liters per hour.
